While conducting research for my annotated bibliography I
found that it is important to identify core resources required to begin researching.
Having the opportunity to meet with Dr. Dennis allowed me to understand the
scope and content of resources. She gave
me an overview of how to navigate through the various databases, journals,
subject specific scholarly resources, as well as dissertations. I was also able to find a few
dissertations that relate to my topic.

Thought
As I reflect on my research a thought came to mind as they say in marketing, "Go to where the people are." I find that Facebook and social media are the untapped tools that many schools are overlooking. Despite what my students want to believe their parents are becoming more active with social media.
Communicate frequently and purposefully!
Linking a Class Twitter account to a Facebook page. If your students and their parents "like" your page, follow your Twitter account check their cell phones, they won't escape teacher updates!.
